CERES Project Website

This is sort of my humorous post…half lame post…sort of proud of this post…

I’m conflicted…after all, this was my first real website I designed and programmed. Actually, this was THE site that I taught myself HTML with. That sad/funny part of this is that THEY ARE STILL USING THIS SITE!!

This site was originally built back in 1997. I had to size everything to fit on a 640×480 monitor (yeah, this is the actual size of the site). My phone has more pixels.

It was a cool project…we got a grant from NASA to build out a resource site for K-12 instructors to use as a curriculum repository. And they could use any NASA/JPL data or imagery. I had access to a beautiful database of JPL photos from deep space and shuttle missions.

I’m wondering if it’s really still active or if it simply sits on a server in the back closet somewhere unused.
